  2. Pay-Per-View: sell individual videos and set how long access lasts
  3. Giving: let viewers contribute through Stripe

Ads

Go to Monetization → Ads to add your VAST ad tags. Ads can play before, during, or after your videos (pre-roll, mid-roll, or post-roll).

  • Mobile Ad Tag: the VAST/VPAID ad tag URL for ads in your mobile apps.
  • TV Ad Tag: the VAST/VPAID ad tag URL for ads in your TV and connected TV apps.

For ads on your website and in embeds, add your ad tag to your player in Tools → Player Studio, under Monetization → IMA Ads. Learn more: Player Studio

Ad token requirements

Only needed if your VAST tag uses dynamic store tokens. Open Ad Token Requirements and fill in your app store details:

  • Android App Store URL and Android TV Store URL: your Google Play listings.
  • Amazon App Store URL and Amazon ASIN: your Amazon Appstore listing and its product ID.
  • Roku Channel Store URL: your Roku channel listing.

Tip: want different ads on a specific video or channel? Turn on Video VAST URL or Enable Channel VAST Override in Content → Content Settings, then add the ad tag on that video or channel. Learn more: Content Settings

Pay-Per-View

Sell individual videos by setting a price on the video itself. In Monetization → Pay-Per-View, set the PPV Access Duration: how many hours viewers can watch after they buy. Leave it empty to give unlimited access after purchase.

Live events can be sold as pay-per-view too: set a Price (PPV) on the live event. Learn more: Going Live

Giving

Let viewers support you with a contribution through your own Stripe giving page. Payments go directly to your Stripe account.

  1. Create your giving link in Stripe.
  2. Go to Monetization → Giving and paste it into Stripe Giving Link. This is where viewers go when they tap Give.
  3. Turn on Enable Giving to show Give buttons on your website and apps.
  4. Choose where viewers see it.

  1. Create a Payment Link: in your Stripe Dashboard, go to Payment Links and create a new link. Under Select type, choose Customers choose what to pay, so viewers can enter their own amount.
  2. Add a title and details: enter a title viewers will see, such as "Support Our Work". You can also add a description of what contributions support, and your logo or an image.
  3. Check the product category: Stripe may select "Digital products", which can be taxable. Choose the tax category that fits your type of contribution. Tax rules vary, so check with your accountant if you're unsure.
  4. Choose the currency you want to accept.
  5. Suggest an amount (optional): such as $10 or $25. It appears when the page opens, and viewers can change it.
  6. Set limits: we recommend a minimum contribution, such as $5, to stop fraudsters from using the link to test stolen cards with tiny payments.
  7. Customize the payment page: under Advanced options, choose Donate as the button label. Under After payment, you can show a thank-you message or send viewers to your website.
  8. Create the link: click Create link and copy the Stripe URL.

Good to know: this setup is for one-time contributions.

Where viewers see it

  • Show on video pages: adds a Give button next to Share on each video's page.
  • Show on series pages: adds a Give button next to Share on each series page.

To add Give to your menu, go to Platform → Navigation and add an item with the type Give. Learn more: Navigation: Building Your Apps & Site Menu
